Patients
Scheduled Appointments
Patients are seen by appointment only, we do not accept walk-in appointments. Please call in advance so that we may reserve a time for you. We make every effort to be on time for our patients, and ask that you extend the same courtesy to us. Occasionally an emergency may occur and delay the doctor or hygienist. We will do our best to communicate any delays to you. We do feel that your time is as valuable as ours.
Late appointments
We know time is valuable and we try very hard to be respectful of your time. Our appointment times are reserved in advance to take care of your dental health needs. To promote efficient access to our clinic for all of our clients, we ask that you try your best to be on time for your appointments. If you arrive more than 15 minutes after your scheduled appointment time we will be unable to see you and will need to reschedule your appointment to a future day.
Separation Policy
Only patients are allowed in our operatories. If you are a parent/guardian, we ask that you wait in our reception area while our staff accompanies your child throughout their visit. You are more than welcome to walk your child back to the operatory to make them comfortable, but once the appointment begins we ask you return to the waiting room. This is a standard practice among dental offices, including pediatric dentists. We have observed that most children react more positively when permitted to experience the dental appointment on their own. After your child’s examination, we will review with you any recommendations, suggestions and/or treatment. We do appreciate your help with encouraging their independence. With our attention focused solely on your child, we can observe your child’s unbiased level of participation as well as their dental needs.
Insurance/Payment Options
Financial
Payment is expected at time of services. We accept cash, check, American Express, Discover, MasterCard and Visa. Payment in full is due upon receipt of statement unless a prior financial arrangement has been made. For established patients in good standing we offer the following financial arrangement options:
- 5% prepay discount for amount over $2,000 to be paid with cash or check only.
- In House: a monthly payment plan to extend 3-6 months for amounts over $300.
- Financing available through iCreditWorks for qualified clients beginning amount of $500 or more. iCreditWorks financing may NOT be used in conjunction with any personal discount.
In order to reserve an appointment for recommended services a pre-payment of at least 25% of the estimated patient balance is required for balances over $4,000.
If you ever have any questions regarding treatment, fee or service, please discuss them with us promptly. We will make every effort to provide the information necessary as to avoid any misunderstandings.
For any checks that are returned to our office, a $42 service charge will be applied. All future payments must be either credit card, cash, certified check or money order only.
Insurance
As a courtesy, we will submit your primary and secondary insurance claims for you. If your primary insurance is with an insurance company we are not contracted with, it is the patient responsibility to provide our office the primary insurance explanation of benefits in order to submit to your secondary insurance.
Your insurance is a contract between you and your insurance company. Should there be a dispute related to the amount of your insurance company pays for the service, the settlement of that dispute is between you and your insurance carrier. You are ultimately responsible for payment to our office.
It is physically impossible for us to have knowledge and keep track of every aspect of your insurance. We will do everything we can to guide you in the process, but ultimately it is up to the policy holder to inquire with their insurance company directly as to what benefits your plan has.
Collections
Any balance on an account beyond 90 days, without prior financial arrangements, will be sent to collections for full payment.
Should you fail to take care of balances on your account, existing future appointments will be canceled until balance has been paid. No future appointments will be scheduled until account balances are paid in full.
New patients
New patients must pay at the time of service until they have been established as an existing patient and then payment policies will apply.
